About Expert
"Geeta has over 27 years of experience working with leading consulting and international companies.
Having completed her Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com.) from Gujarat University in 1987 and qualified as Chartered Accountant , Geeta worked extensively with SMEs for the initial few years, taking care of financial affairs.
Geeta went on to pursue her career in consulting in 1991, which she continued with for next 20 years. During this course, Geeta closely worked with some of the most reputed firms like Ambit-RSM, KPMG and Grant Thornton, progressively moving into leadership roles. Through this period, she gathered deep knowledge in several practices (Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Audits, Domestic & International Tax and Transfer Pricing) and led several key client engagements at these organisations. She was always recognized as a sharp leader, subject-matter expert, having a focused approach to client servicing. She set up Grant Thornton’s practice which grew to a 100-member team – this practice continues to thrive even today in the Pune market.
2012, Geeta took time off to pursue higher education, and did a Masters in Leadership & Strategy (an MSc., popularly referred to as Sloan Fellow) from the London Business School. This sharpened her knowledge by bringing a wide international perspective.
Geeta then followed her heart and ventured into entrepreneurial journey through 2013 & 2014, when she co-founded Gravitech Business Solutions Private Limited, a consulting practice in the areas of People, Finance, Strategy and Entrepreneurship, where she founded an M&A e-Commerce platform, worked in Board and Advisory roles in fund-invested portfolio companies, and was a consultant to a niche Indian BPO in establishing its European Delivery Centre. Thereafter, from 2015 till the end of 2018, Geeta was the Global Chief Financial Officer of SEPAM, an Ireland headquartered global engineering & construction services company, with its key operations in China, Middle East, UK and North America.
She now actively works in the Indian Start-Up Ecosystem, engaging with young Start-Ups and Founders. She also strategically invests in Start-Ups. This part of her journey is pursued through a co-founded venture - T5 Networks LLP.
